Fat Fueled Matcha
When people think keto they tend to think coffee loaded with fatty butter. But tea also deserves some love. That’s exactly why we’ve shared this recipe for a supercharged matcha latte. It’s simple to make but delivers the flavors and energy you need to start the morning right, wind down the evening, or just take a break during the day.
Did you know that matcha tea has more nutrients than steeped green tea? Before matcha is harvested the leaves are shaded, which causes a flavorful growth in the tea plant. Then its leaves are ground into a fine powder.
What makes matcha special is that its potent with antioxidants known as polyphenols which have been linked to a host of health benefits. At the same time, matcha is traditionally associated with tranquility: bringing your mind to a calm place that lives here and now. Which is exactly why keto needed its own version of matcha: the fat fueled matcha latte.
- Boil 12 oz of water
- Add coconut milk, coconut butter, and matcha powder, and stevia drops to your ninja or bullet.
- (Optional : add collagen protein)
- Add hot water to other ingredients & blend!
