Bacon & Pecan Green Beans
Servings: 10 – 12
Ingredients
- 4 cans of green beans – drained (no salt added)
- 1/2 c. pecans
- 1 pkg bacon (no sugar added)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven at 375
2. Line a Cookie Sheet with Aluminum Foil
1. Bake Bacon at 375 for approximately 15 minutes or to the crispness of your liking
2. Set Bacon strips aside but leave aluminum foil & bacon grease
5. Toss 1/2 c. of Pecans in the bacon grease and bake for 10-12 min until toasted & set aside
6. In a large skillet, put the 4 cans of drained green beans with olive oil and start to cook on medium heat
7. Season the beans with garlic powder, salt in pepper
8. While the beans are cooking, roughly chop the bacon and the roasted pecans
9. Once the beans have softened and are sizzling, fold in the bacon & pecans
10. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together and then remove from heat
11. Let sit for 5 minutes in the pan to cool and to let the flavors marry
12. Serve & Enjoy!
